๐ป Third Settler
Two-Player House Rules
For playing a hex-and-resource board game with just two people,
plus the Ghost.
Setup
- Build the board the app deals you (Standard or Random) โ tiles and number
tokens to match.
- Place the Ghost's 4 blocker settlements on the corners the app
marks with ๐ป. They never produce resources and never score.
- Draft your own starting settlements and roads โ take turns, snake order. Your
second settlement pays starting resources.
- The robber starts on the desert.
Turn order
You, then your opponent, then the Ghost. Repeat until someone wins.
On your turn
- Roll the dice. Everyone collects resources from hexes whose
number matches the roll.
- Roll a 7: move the robber, steal a card, and anyone holding 8 or more cards
discards half.
- Build roads, settlements, and cities, trade, or buy a development card.
- Bank trades are 3-for-1 instead of 4-for-1. Ports work as
printed.
The Ghost's turn
The Ghost rolls the dice (everyone collects), then builds one road โ aimed at
whoever is ahead. Its 4 blockers just sit there hogging strong corners; they never
produce and never score. The Ghost is a spoiler, not a scorer.
Winning
First player to 10 victory points wins. Settlement = 1, city = 2,
Longest Road = 2, Largest Army = 2, plus any victory-point development cards.
